Training agreement, waiver and liability release

Training placement is a selection process and not all applicants are accepted into the program. The (MUVP) center reserves the right to place volunteers in the area  staffs feel is best suited to your skills and the needs of the (MUVP). No training position is guaranteed and positions may be terminated at the (MUVP) center's sole discretion.

 

Intellectual property

I understand that in the course of training I may participate in or create intellectual property on behalf of the (MUVP) center. I understand that all such property, and all rights to its use, belongs exclusively to the (MUVP) center. I shall exercise due diligence in ascertaining the ownership of any non-(MUVP) center intellectual property prior to its use by the (MUVP) center, and shall work with appropriate (MUVP) center personnel to protect (MUVP) center intellectual property.

Image and performance release

I hereby grant to the Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology center (MUVP) to use my image, interview/ performance(s) or music for (MUVP) center Exhibit displays, associated education programs, and/ or public relations. The above mentioned items will not be used for retail sale or retail products.

Liability release

I understand that as a trainer I agree to submit to the appropriate background checks required by the (MUVP) center. I understand that I may be working with children or other (MUVP) center visitors, may operate machinery, lift boxes or equipment, or be required to sit for extended periods or climb stairs and walk through exhibition halls. I may have access to secure collection items or labs. My work may encompass fieldwork under dangerous conditions, scientific activity involving chemicals, animal specimens, or other potentially hazardous activities requiring care and skill. I may also participate in off-site enrichment activities at other locations. I understand that I may ride in vehicles provided by MUVP staff or volunteers. I agree to follow all instructions provided by the (MUVP) center personnel regarding these activities.

*By submitting this application to become a (MUVP) trainer, I state that I am capable of performing these tasks and waive and release any and all claims I may have against the (MUVP) center, its trustees, employees or volunteers, based on any injuries or damages that I may incur in the course of training. I also understand and agree that being a (MUVP) trainer doesn't mean I am a (MUVP) employee. I don't expect that training will lead to or become employment, and understand that I am not entitled to any employee benefits such as workers compensation, salary, or any other benefit or compensation.
