The Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center (MUVP) welcomed a visiting group from the University of Hamburg, led by Dr. Mohamed Khalifa, Head of the German Mission at the University of Hamburg and a specialist in Middle Eastern studies. The group was accompanied by Professor Sherif Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University, Ms. Shaza Samir, Tourism Coordinator at the University of Hamburg, along with a number of researchers interested in Middle Eastern culture and Egyptian civilization.
During the visit, the group explored Egypt’s natural heritage through MUVP’s vertebrate fossil discoveries. The visitors expressed their appreciation for Egypt’s rich paleontological record and emphasized that Egypt possesses not only an exceptional cultural legacy but also a valuable natural heritage that merits preservation and presentation in a manner comparable to the Grand Egyptian Museum, in order to enhance scientific awareness and protect this natural legacy.
