The study was published in the prestigious journal Science Advances
The Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center (MUVP) led an international study published in Science Advances, revealing that modern marine fish communities were already established just 4 million years after the extinction of the dinosaurs.
The research is based on a newly discovered 62.2-million-year-old fossil

Professor Mohsen Zahran, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Mohamed Abu El-Nour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ashraf Amin, Head of the Science Section at Al-Ahram
along with the Sallam Lab team, in recognition of Sallam lab outstanding efforts and remarkable scientific achievement in the discovery of “Masripithecus.”

MUVP received an academic group from the Lithuania Republic during their visit to Mansoura University, accompanied by Professor Mohamed Sobhy, Agreement Coordinator.
The visit was conducted within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Mansoura University and the University of Vytautas Magnus, Lithuania.
