The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has authorized the nomination of Professor Hesham Sallam as a member of the Egyptian National Geosciences Committee
Dr Sanaa El-Sayed, the Vice Director of MUVP, participated in the National Geographic Annual Family Day Event: "Secrets of Egypt" in Washington, D.C. The theme of this year's event was Egypt, and the activities included free access to the "Queens of Egypt" exhibition at the National Geographic Museum.
Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, Mansoura University President, together with Prof. Kamal Sharobiem, the governor of Daqahlia, honored Dr. Hesham Sallam, the Winner of the figure of the year Award, during the Celebration of Science Day on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019.
On 17th May 2019, Prof. Tarek Shawki, the Minister of Education and Technical Education and Chairman of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, together with Dr. Yasmine Salah Fouad, the Environment Minister, Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, the President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Hesham Sallam, the director of MUVP center, have established the inauguration ceremony of MUVP.
On 11th May 2019, Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, the President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Hesham Sallam, the director of Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology center (MUVP), have inaugurated the official opening of MUVP at the Faculty of Science in Mansoura University. The center is the first specialized center for vertebrate fossils in the Middle East.
Dr Sanaa El-Sayed was part of the first Diversity in Paleontology Luncheon at the Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology where she hosted a roundtable discussion on Present Challenges and Future Prospects for Egyptian Women in Vertebrate Paleontology
