MUVP Discovers the First Pterosaur Fossil from Egypt

The Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center (MUVP) has announced the discovery of the first scientifically documented pterosaur fossil from Egypt. The fossil represents a significant addition to the country's vertebrate fossil record and provides new insights into

the diversity and evolution of flying reptiles that inhabited North Africa during the Late Cretaceous

This remarkable discovery enhances Egypt's position on the global paleontological map and contributes to a better understanding of prehistoric ecosystems in the African continent.

The research was published in the prestigious scientific journal Cretaceous Research, highlighting the international significance of the discovery and the growing impact of MUVP's scientific contributions in vertebrate paleontology
