Students from various backgrounds and ages (mainly undergraduate students) have been trained in MUVP lap from 2010 to present on vertebrate fossil excavation, preparation and curation. In 2018, the number of training students reached its peak with a number of 100 students actively involved in different training programs in the lab. Moreover, a selected number of students (50 students, males, and females) from 10 universities have been chosen to be part of a joint training program between MUVP and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA). The training was from June to September in Wadi El-Hitan World Heritage site in a series of three field trips. The students have been trained on methods of vertebrate fossil prospecting and excavations and helped in the maintenance of the open air museum fossils.
